Update: Keynote Speaker

We're proud to announce Dr. Vicki Anderson as our PCM Keynote Speaker for 2013!  Dr. Anderson received her PhD from Indiana University Bloomington, and is currently an Assistant Professor of Education at Concordia University Nebraska.

Update: Submission Deadline Extended

The deadline for PCM submissions has been extended to 11:59 PM on Friday, November 30, 2012.

Please email all submissions (without identifying information and as an attached Word document) to ballstatepcm2013@gmail.com

Just a reminder:  submissions should consist of a  200-300 word abstract for critical works or 500 word excerpt for creative pieces.

GSAB Abstract Writing Workshop

This Friday, November 16, the GSAB will hold an abstract writing workshop for graduate students in the English Department. A panel consisting of professors from literature, linguistics, creative writing, rhet/comp, will share tips on writing successful abstracts to conferences. This will be followed by a question and answer session.

We can now announce the official date and location of Practical Criticism Midwest 2013!

The conference will be held at the Virginia Ball Center on Friday, February 8th. Events will begin at 1:00PM.
